LE Almasol Syntemp Lubricant
LE Almasol® Syntemp® Lubricant (9901) is a heavy-duty, high-temperature extreme pressure (EP) lubricant made from a very heavy synthetic fluid and a non-melting base. It is specially formulated to provide exceptional protection at temperatures at which petroleum oils would completely oxidise or carbonise, and is excellent for large open gears exposed to very high temperatures, kiln girth gears, large industrial gearing, oven chains, sliding surfaces and large slow-moving (friction) bearings. It contains Almasol®, LE’s exclusive wear-reducing additive, has exceptional water resistance – remaining unaffected by boiling water and steam – and contains special rust inhibitors.

KEY FEATURES
•High oxidation resistance – will not leave undesirable oxidation products such as varnish or gum, even at extreme temperatures
•Long lasting under high temperatures – much longer than ordinary lubricants
•High load-carrying capacity – high film strength cushions gear teeth under heavy or shock loads
•Non-melting base – will not liquefy and run out of bearings or run off gears, cables or chains
•Reduced equipment failures due to superior wear and corrosion protection
•Does not form carbon or varnish deposits
•Less lubricant needed due to superior oxidation resistance
•Very sticky and adherent to metal
•Protects against rust and corrosion
•Excellent mechanical stability
•EP (extreme pressure) characteristics
•Remains plastic down to -18°C (0°F)
•Highly water resistant – resists boiling water or high-temperature steam
APPLICATIONS
•Open gears, including kiln girth gears
•Large industrial gearing
•Oven chains
•Large bearings operating at very slow speeds in high-temperature environments
•Low speed plain bearings
•Cables
•Chains
•Sliding surfaces
