Castrol Aircol CM 100
The Castrol Aircol™ CM compressor oil range comprises high quality lubricants based on highly refined mineral oil, enhanced with additive technology to provide excellent thermal and oxidative stability and good load carrying capacity. Aircol CM 100 is formulated without zinc additives (ashless oil) and is recommended for the lubrication of rotary screw and reciprocating compressors; as a general guide, it would be selected for lubricating the crankcase and cylinders of reciprocating compressors, subject to the compressor manufacturer's recommendation. Aircol CM oils exhibit low carbon forming tendencies and meet the requirements of the DIN 51506 VDL classification for reciprocating compressors with air discharge temperatures up to 220°C, and are designed to meet service drain intervals of up to 4000 hours in continuous rotary screw operation up to 90°C. Aircol CM 100 is fully compatible with the Castrol Aircol PD and MR ranges.
CLASSIFICATION
| Standard | ISO 6743-3 Compressor Oils |
| DAA & DAB | Reciprocating (piston) and drip-fed rotary air compressors |
| DAG & DAH | Oil-flooded rotary screw air compressors |
KEY FEATURES
| •Good water separation characteristics allow condensation to readily separate from the oil, minimising the risk of emulsions that could block the oil separator element |
| •Fully inhibited against corrosion, enabling protection even when operating under humid conditions |
| •Good thermal stability, low volatility, and low carbon formation reduce the risk of fire and explosion and lead to a longer operating life (up to 4000 hours) |
| •Low deposit forming tendencies extend oil change intervals and provide longer air filter life, contributing to a reduction in maintenance costs |
| •Excellent coalescing properties mean little carry-over of oil in the air stream |
| •High load carrying capacity to meet the requirements of geared compressor units |
