Castrol MAGNATEC has been developed to meet the unique demands of modern driving. Up to 75% of engine wear can happen when starting the ignition, and acceleration, slowing down, and idling in city driving only increase this strain – every congested commute, weekend getaway, and shopping trip may add to engine wear. Castrol MAGNATEC clings like a magnet to critical engine parts and locks in place to deliver 50% better engine wear protection*, helping to safeguard the engine's vital components – the valvetrain, timing chain, pistons, and bearings – from damage and wear. Castrol MAGNATEC 0W-30 D is suitable for use in automotive petrol and diesel vehicles where the manufacturer recommends an ACEA C2, API SP, ILSAC GF-6 SAE 0W-30 lubricant, and wherever a SAE 0W-30 meeting the latest Ford WSS-M2C957-A1 or Ford WSS-M2C950-A specification is called for.
