Castrol Radicool NF is an antifreeze concentrate formulated using monoethylene glycol and selected additives, free from nitrite, amine and phosphate inhibitors, using hybrid technology for the modern performance engines of cars and trucks. This coolant should be used at concentrations between 33% and 50% dilution with purified water to give optimum corrosion protection and freezing protection between -18°C and -36°C. As it contains no phosphate, the problems of deposits found in some modern performance engines are eliminated. The recommended level of anti-freeze also significantly reduces the likelihood of wet cylinder liner pitting caused by cavitation erosion, where imploding air bubbles attracted to the liner surface can remove minute amounts of liner material and, if left unchecked, lead to liner porosity and severe engine damage. Coolants are often not compatible with one another and should not be mixed unless directed by the equipment manufacturer; if using Castrol Radicool NF for the first time, ensure the cooling system has been adequately flushed with clean water.

Castrol Radicool NF shall be stored in air tight containers at a maximum temperature of 30°C. In warm climates, containers should not be stored outside in direct sunlight. It can be stored in mild steel lacquer lined containers. Galvanised containers and handling equipment should not be used.
