Castrol RADICOOL SI-OAT
Castrol Radicool Si-OAT is a nitrite, amine and phosphate free antifreeze coolant with added silicate for the latest vehicles requiring silicate containing OAT technology. Aqueous solutions act as both antifreeze and coolant, offering excellent corrosion protection to all metal parts found in the cooling systems of internal combustion engines. It should be used at concentrations of between 33% and 50% dilution with purified water to give optimum corrosion protection and freezing protection between -18°C and -36°C. It has been developed to provide total protection for the metals used in engine radiator systems, cylinder block heads, water pumps and heat exchangers, and is formally approved by MAN for vehicles specifying MAN 324 Type Si-OAT coolants (including those built after Dec 2012), as well as suitable for older vehicles previously using MAN 324 Type NF and MAN 324 Type SNF fluids. It is approved for use in VW vehicles requiring VW TL 774G (G12++) approved coolant, is compatible with older VW TL 774C (G11) and VW TL 774F (G12+) type fluids, and can be used where VW TL 774J (G13) fluid is recommended. It is also suitable for use in Mercedes Benz heavy duty vehicles manufactured after 10/2011. Coolants are often not compatible with one another and should not be mixed unless directed by the equipment manufacturer; if using Castrol Radicool Si-OAT for the first time, ensure the cooling system has been adequately flushed with clean water.
